This ceramic tea tray was handmade with high quality natural clay (called old rock clay) at Dehua county in China and finished with gilt rust glaze. Due to the high iron oxide content in the glaze, after firing at the high temperature (1310 Celsius), the surface of the tea tray has rust color & look. While for the tea tray design, it is just like a Lotus Pond theme, the stands for the tea cups and teapot are the shapes of lotus leaves and seeds.
This Kung Fu tea tray is used for brewing tea in the traditional Chinese Kung Fu Tea style. It is used for carrying the tea set, tea and other tea accessories.
