Dehua county is a town in Fujian province along China's southeast coast and is very famous for the high quality white porcelains, 'Blanc de Chine', or 'white from China', is the name given to white porcelains made in Dehua. The color of the porcelain is more like ‘ivory white’ and ‘milk white’ due to the very small amount of iron oxide in the local kaolin clay.
